About this Software

Fast Image Resizer is a free tool for resizing images by Stefano Perna.

The current stage of development is in Beta for all the current features.

You can run this software from File Menu or launching the application via the Windows Program Menu.

It runs on both Windows XP and Windows Vista. Windows 7 has not yet tested.

Install the Software

Launch the setup.exe file to install this software and follow on-screen instructions.

You need administrator privileges to install it also in File Menu.

Resize an image from File menu

To easily and quickly resize an image, right click with your mouse on the image file, and choose Fast Resize Image. The image will be resized according to the default settings of the application.

To change the default settings of the application go on Chapter 5

To open the application window of the program, right click on the selected image and choose Resize Image. The Main Window of the application will be opened.

Run the software

This software can be runned in console (see Resize Image from File menu)or in a window.

To open the main window go on the Start Menu and you will find Fast Image Resizer in the Programs menu.

Main window is shown in the image below:

Under the image preview is shown the filename and original size of your image.

Choose Fast Resize if you want to use default settings for the resized image.

If you need custom settings only for this image you can choose the resolution from the Resize box on the left. There are four predefined sizes, or you can specify a custom size choosing Custom. Check the Fix Proportion box if you want the application not to distort your image.

The original image will not be overwritten.

Change Settings

You can choose the default settings for the application.

When you will use the Fast Resize button (in the main windows) or the file menu Fast Resize Image, this settings will be used.

UnInstall the Software

To uninstall the software open the Windows Control Panel and open Installed Application.

Now select FastImageResizer and click on the button Uninstall.
